From intense combat to an emotional story, this game truly has it all. I finally understand the hype, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is by far one of the best games I ever played. If you don’t care that much about the graphical details and can live with short battery life, this is without a doubt one of the best, if not the very best, portable game at this moment. An external fast-charging power bank did solve the issue a bit but it’s not the best way to play the game for sure. Since the game is dialogue and cut scene heavy, it was a true shame I had to stop playing due to the Deck’s battery life. The only major downside is the Steam Deck’s battery life which drained fast while playing this one. In all honesty, I’m still rather blown away with what I just played. After toggling with some texture settings, which didn’t affect the graphics that much, I was in for a very fluent gameplay experience. At first, I was playing it in solid 60fps with high texture settings but I noticed the game freezing up during some of the more intense fighting scenes. The graphics lack some details compared to the PlayStation and PC versions but that’s nothing to really worry about, on the smaller Steam Deck screen, this is without a doubt one of the best-looking games I ever played on the go. I didn’t really believe my Deck would offer me a solid experience but I was very wrong. I’m one of those gamers who never played Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade before so I was very eager to test it on my Steam Deck. Although the max settings are a bit too much for the powerful handheld, I must admit I was very impressed with the overall performance, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade certainly is playable on the Deck and offers the same unforgettable journey. If you toggle the characters on screen to some lower numbers and use the dynamic resolution patch you can certainly get the game running at a rather solid 60fps-ish experience. In my opinion, this is a bit too much, it’s weird to have the option because the Steam Deck still struggles to run this on a steady 60fps with maxed-out settings. When it comes to the frame rate, the game offers settings for 30fps, 60fps, 90fps, and even 120fps. Besides this, you can also toggle some important resolution settings for both shadows and textures, which are crucial for the battery life and frame rate. In the graphic settings, you can set the game to play windowed or borderless with a resolution ranging from 720p to a mindblowing 4K. As said in my tech review, it’s a very impressive piece of hardware that can easily handle a lot of modern games, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is no exception and offers a tremendous amount of options. Saying that the Steam Deck is the most powerful handheld to date is an understatement. Is it playable on Steam Deck and worth buying? Time to find out! Instead, I want to focus on the portable Steam Deck version of this instant classic. In this review, we won’t focus on the content of this Steam version since it offers the same experience like the one we reviewed before. On June 17 2008, Thaxlssillyia reported that had been updated to announce the return of Ryzom. It was later revealed that GameForge had not even fully paid for the Nevrax assets, which were then returned to the original liquidator. The "three week deadline" passed, and the game servers continued to run, albeit with large amounts of lag. According to an announcement made on October 2, the default procedure in case of failure to find a new buyer will be to shut down the game within three weeks. On October 1, 2007, the Tribunal de Commerce Paris declared that Gameforge France had filed for bankruptcy for lack of payments since August 27, 2007. On September 28, 2007, all Ryzom subscriptions changed to "Free period" without any communication from Gameforge France. On December 21, 2006, Nevrax SARL was eventually sold to the owners of Gameforge AG, a German company specialized in webbrowser games, who started up GameForge France SARL as a 'sister company' and transferred all the rights. On December 14, the Free Software Foundation pledged a donation of sixty thousand dollars. On November 14, 2006, the Free Ryzom Campaign was launched in order to gather enough funds from donations from the community to purchase Ryzom and release the game as free software. On November 20, 2006, Nevrax announced that it would enter receivership sometime in December, and, on November 21, confirmed that “Nevrax as a corporate entity will probably cease to exist in a few weeks” and announced that “several companies and/or individuals are actively engaged in negotiations to take over Ryzom”. Nevrax began development of Ryzom in 2000. Java fern, anubias, crypts, Amazon sword, and Java moss are more common plants for telescope goldfish tanks. The above plants aren’t usually grown in freshwater aquariums. The lotus blossom plant produces soft pink flowers with a yellow center. Lotus blossom – Also known as Indian lotus. This flowering plant produces white flowers. Victoria water lily – Grow up to three meters wide. This plant is invasive and grows quickly. Waterwheel plant – A flowering plant in the Droseraceae family. The following freshwater plants are native to the telescope goldfish’s natural habitat: Ensuring that the fish’s tank conditions closely resemble the goldfish’s natural habitat is vital. Think about what decorations, plants, and water parameters the fish need before setting up a telescope goldfish tank. Telescope goldfish live in slow-moving and stagnant water in the wild. Inspecting the fish regularly for physical changes will help identify disease and infection early on. Telescope goldfish are prone to common aquarium diseases, but problems are easy to prevent with regular water changes and good hygiene. Sick fish will change color or develop lumps, holes, or rashes that are uncommon for the species. Poor health and sexual maturity can cause the fish’s appearance to change. Females can grow up to eight inches long. Male telescope goldfish have thin bodies and a narrow concave vent, making them more streamlined than females. Female telescope goldfish have round bodies and look stocky next to male fish. Male fish are smaller than their female counterparts and grow up to five inches long. The telescope goldfish also has a long tail that fans out and flows in the water. The telescope goldfish has two distinct features that set it apart from the household goldfish and fancy goldfish. The first striking feature is the fish’s big eyes that look like two telescopes attached to its head. These fish will have blotches of color dotted around their body rather than displaying a uniform pattern. Immature fish are dark brown or black in color and only lighten and display patterns as they mature. Pandas (sometimes called “Panda Moors”) look like Black and white versions of Black Moors.Telescope goldfish come in a variety of patterns and are either orange, red, black, white, brown, or a combination of colors. Telescopes come in all colors and scale types The main feature of this breed is it’s enlarged eye sockets, which project directly outward from it’s skull. If kept with other Goldfish make sure that they can get their share of food. Telescope goldfish first appeared during the late 1500s and early 1600s. Their poor eyesight means they are very clumsy when it comes to detecting and avoiding danger. They can survive in a pond environment, but they cant see very well, so need to be protected from predators like cats and birds to avoid becoming an easy meal. Telescopes are reasonably hardy when it comes to temperature range. (the term covers all goldfish with portruding eyes and sometimes also referred to as “Dragon Eyes” in the Orient) One of the most heavily hybridized goldfish after the Fantail Goldfish is the Telescope also referred to as “Demekin” in Japan. What comes to mind is guys with forklifts moving bullion from one part of a warehouse to another, into the account of another silver market participant. That makes five vaults in total with subcustodians operating three. Transportation costs would presumably also present a problem.Īccording to the Inspection of Silver Bullion document on the SLV website (dated July 2010), there are two vaults operated by JPM, two vaults operated by Brinks Global Services, and one vault operated by Via Mat International. How is it possible for the SLV to buy and sell such large quantities of silver on a daily basis when no one else, it seems, can do so? It's expensive to procure physical silver, and usually takes much longer than a day. Here is a chart of the trust's silver holdings since the start of April (click to enlarge): For example, they decreased their holdings by 33 metric tons on Thursday.Īll the data is available on the iShares website in the left hand column. Silver coins at shops like the American Precious Metals exchange sell for a premium of over 9%.Īdd these two together and it seems really weird that the SLV can increase and reduce its silver holdings daily seemingly with no trouble. Sprott's fund has traded in recent days at about a 20% premium to the spot price. Second, the silver shortage has caused premiums for the physical metal to skyrocket. Various mints, including the US Mint, are also unable to get sufficient supplies. Eric Sprott, who runs, among other things, a physical silver fund ( PSLV), has commented often in the recent past on how hard it is to buy physical silver in large amounts. Here are two.įirst, there is a silver shortage. People are suspicious of the SLV for a number of reasons. It also brings to mind the often quoted phrase, "never believe anything until it's been officially denied." It's also reminiscent of the other Wall Street CEOs saying everything was great and they didn't need to borrow any money while they were borrowing billions and teetering on the edge of insolvency. This reminds me of the CEOs of Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers saying everything is fine shortly before their banks collapsed. According to Zero Hedge, Kevin Feldman, managing director of iShares, issued a refutation of the rumors that the SLV contains no physical silver. Mainstream media hasn't weighed in on one side or another, but the blogosphere and Youtube are full of various accusations and speculation.Īn interesting thing happened a day or so ago. The controversy is whether there is a vault that actually contains the amount of silver iShares says it does. Because the holders of iShares are not parties to the custodian agreement, their claims against the custodian may be limited. It is responsible for holding the trust's physical silver in its vaults. It is responsible for the day to day administration of the trust, including processing orders, coordinating with the custodian, calculating the net asset value of the trust, and selling the trust's silver to pay for expenses. The trustee is Bank of New York Mellon ( BK). It assumes certain marketing and administrative expenses of the trust. It arranged for the creation of the trust and its listing on the NYSE Arca. The sponsor, iShares, is a subsidiary of BlackRock ( BLK). Three main parties are responsible for the SLV. That is, there's supposed to be a vault somewhere with a bunch of physical silver and each share of the SLV is supposed to represent about an ounce. Is for the value of the shares of the iShares Silver Trust to reflect, at any given time, the price of silver owned by the iShares Silver Trust at that time, less the iShares Silver Trust's expenses and liabilities. The objective of the exchange traded fund, according to the iShares website: The iShares Silver Trust ( NYSEARCA: SLV) has been the subject of controversy since it first started trading. So what am I going to do? Well, I’m going to update the apps so that when they open, the user get’s a little more feedback than a tiny brain in the corner or some ruby red slippers. Apps don’t get approved, people don’t notice things you think they will, and there isn’t a ton you can do about it. What did I learn? These are GOOD problems to have. I figured I’d do it eventually, because nobody will actually use this. I hadn’t even gotten close to getting my website ready. Also, they started coming to my website for help. I’m getting slammed in the reviews by people saying “This app sucks, it won’t even open.” So now I have a bunch of people that think my app sucks even though they haven’t even used it. Unfortunately, a lot of people aren’t noticing them and they think they aren’t opening. They run up in the menu bar and are meant to stay out of your way. The next problem is that since Toto and Thoughtback are meant to be ultra simple and unobtrusive, I made them little menu bar applets. I thought this could be a problem, but I never expected many people to actually want to use it. It’s been “In Review” for days and people are now asking “How do I sync with Toto Touch?” and all I can say is “Hold on, it’s coming”. I submitted both apps to the app store on the same day and Toto for Mac was approved right away, while Toto Touch has still not been approved. It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I first wrote Toto and I finally was able to finish it. The big new feature of Toto is TotoSync, which lets you sync everything between the iPhone version and the Mac version. I thought every Mac developer on the planet was going to be submitting apps, but somehow, only about 1000 made it into the store.īecause there were so few apps, and even fewer free apps (just over 100), Toto and Thoughtback got WAY more attention than I expected them to. When I submitted my apps to the Mac App Store, I expected to get a few hundred downloads because the store was new. |
